Owners
Alice & Wayne Turner

Alice and Wayne Turner began Heartland Home Developers in 1996 in Paulding County, Georgia. Since that beginning, more than 100 houses have been completed in 11 counties in Georgia.

Alice and Wayne were married Christmas Day, 1952, and will celebrate their anniversary with their children, Kathy and John Stevenson, Donna and Ken Nichols, Bob and Sonya Turner, as guests in a resort in the mountains in East Tennessee. They are proud grandparents of 6 grandchildren.

Alice was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and moved to Arlington, Texas her senior year in high school. Wayne was born in Bryan County, Oklahoma, served in the U.S. Air Force, and moved to Arlington, Texas, where he and Alice were married.

In the years that followed, the Turners served in churches in Texas, Tenn., Georgia and Oklahoma as Business Administrator and Minister of Education for almost 40 years. Since retirement they have operated a health and life insurance office, a cattle ranch in Okla., an office and school supply business, and ostrich rancher prior to becoming an authorized builder for Nationwide Homes. Building church buildings was a significant part of Wayne's responsibility as a Church Business Administrator and provided valuable experience in the building industry.

Wayne believes retirement is doing what you enjoy and says he is as retired as he will ever be. Wayne and Alice enjoy helping people acquire new homes.
